Barry Steiner is President of Crestview Aerospace, a subsidiary of L-3 Communications in its L-3 Integrated Systems Group. He has held his current position since September, 2007.
Mr. Steiner began his professional career in 1968 with Raytheon. After graduating from the Raytheon Management Development Program in 1973, he transferred to the Electromagnetic Systems Division in Goleta, California as a Manufacturing Program Manager for EA-6B and EF-111 aircraft electronic countermeasures. He transferred in 1982 to Submarine Systems Division in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, where he held increasingly responsible positions and in 1986 was named Plant Manager. In 1995, Mr. Steiner transferred to McLean, Virginia with the joint Raytheon-Hughes Standard Missile Company, supporting the U.S. Navy as the director for all production programs. Following the Raytheon acquisition of Hughes' defense businesses, he was assigned as the Raytheon Systems Company Director of Operations. In 2002, Mr. Steiner transferred to Greenville, Texas as the Raytheon Program Director for ASTOR, a U.K. ISR program. In 2004, his responsibilities expanded to managing Air-Ground Surveillance for Raytheon Space & Airborne Systems.
In July 2005, Mr. Steiner retired from Raytheon and joined L-3 Integrated Systems as a Senior Director - Special Projects, advising and supporting L-3 leadership on program performance and operations excellence. Prior to being named Crestview Aerospace President, he served as L-3 Integrated Systems' Vice President, Group Performance Initiatives. Mr. Steiner has BS and MBA degrees and is a Six Sigma Specialist.
